Dear Yudhi,
Fact: Primark, Asda, Tesco and other leading British retailers source their clothing from sweatshops in developing countries.
Fact: Despite public outcry, these companies continue to sell cheap clothing made by men and women earning 7p an hour in terrible conditions.
Fact: You can help stop this.
Call on the prime minister today to take action and regulate fashion companies:
http://lovefashionhatesweatshops.org/TakeAction
Since we launched our campaign in September at London Fashion Week, thousands of people have supported our call for government regulation. On 15 December, we'll be handing in to Gordon Brown those thousands of names and a photo montage of your images.
That means we only have seven days until we go to
Downing Street. Please make sure to sign up today to join the largest - and most significant - call to the UK government to put an end to sweatshop exploitation:
http://lovefashionhatesweatshops.org/TakeAction
Let's grab this opportunity and make the prime minister do right by workers around the world.
Thank you,
Ruth Tanner
